  • 4 eggs
  • 180 grams of granulated sugar
  • 230 grams of all-purpose flour
  • 200 grams of whole milk
  • 60 grams of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Icing sugar to taste

  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  3. In a pan, melt the butter with the milk, and heat until it begins to simmer, just below the boiling point.
  4. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla until thick and fluffy.
  5. Fold into the eggs the sifted flour with the baking powder and mix well until the mixture has no lumps.
  6. Stir the milk mixture into the batter and spoon it into the greased round cake pan.
  7. Bake in the oven for about thirty to thirty-five minutes.
  8. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before dusting it with powdered sugar.
